[unpad.ac.id, 6/7/2020] The Universitas Padjajaran Career Development Center (PPK) along with career centers from other Indonesian universities organized the National Virtual Career Fair (NVCF) 2020, a virtual job fair program, to provide opportunities for university alumni to be included in the workforce despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
Head of PPK Unpad, Dr. Rosaria Mita Amalia, M.Hum., explained that the fair was a way for university career centers to continue to prepare and provide career opportunities for alumni. Therefore, a consortium of around 100 career centers from universities throughout Indonesia was formed.
The fair received full support from the Directorate General of Republic of Indonesia of the Ministry of Education and Culture. It was officially launched last Saturday (4/7), and was opened by the Director General of Higher Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Aris Djunaidi.
During the event, the Advisor Council of NVCF 2020, Ahmad Yuniarto delivered a motivational speech. A panel discussion was held with representatives from Marck Sharp Dohme, Bank Central Asia, Sinarmas Mining, Bank Danamon, and Astra Daihatsu Motor. The event was also attended by Mr. Nurhadi Irbath who explained the Battle of Destiny segment which will be included in a series of activities held in July 2020.
