[unpad.ac.id, 27/10/2020] A total of seven Professors from Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad), who are entering their retirement period this year, shared their inspiration through messages and self-reflection at the “Message of Honor from Retired Professor” Ceremony which was held at Bale Sawala Unpad Rectorate Building, Jatinangor, Tuesday (27/10).
The seven Unpad Professors include Prof. Dr. Tatang Bisri, dr., Sp.An., KNA, KAO, (Faculty of Medicine), Prof. Dr. M. Ade M. Kramadibrata, Dipl., Ing., M. Res., Eng.Sc., (Faculty of Agricultural Industrial Technology), Prof. Dr. Sudigdo Adi, dr., Sp.KK., (Faculty of Medicine), and Prof. Dr. Ir. Ana Rochana, M.S. (Faculty of Animal Husbandry).
Then, Prof. Dr. Ramdan Panigoro, M.Sc., Ph.D., (Faculty of Medicine), Prof. Dr. Imas Siti Setiasih, Ir., SU., (Faculty of Agricultural Industrial Technology) and Prof. Dr. Tati Nurmala, Ir, (Faculty of Animal Husbandry).
This honoring ceremony was held with limited participants and applied strict health and safety protocols. This ceremony can be watched online through the YouTube channel.
In her speech, The Rector of Unpad, Prof. Rina Indiastuti said that the retired professors have dedicated themselves to producing excellent human resources as well as various research and publication work. Unpad professors have also contributed to providing solutions to various problems faced.
According to the Rector, the seven Unpad professors are also highly qualified and professional human resources who had provided examples.
“On behalf of all the leaders of Universitas Padjadjaran, I would like to thank you for all your dedication, all the sacrifices, as well as all your works and performance,” said the Rector.
Even though they have entered retirement age, the Rector hopes that the professors can continue to contribute their thoughts and knowledge to Unpad.
Meanwhile, the Board of Professors Chairperson Prof. Arief Anshory Yusuf hopes that, through this event, the retired professors can share strategies in creating, achieving, and maintaining academic integrity.
“We want this event to be a learning opportunity for us because the professors, who are now retired, are our role models,” said Prof. Arief.
Prof. Arief also hopes the professors can provide inspiration from each of their works and what to do in the future.
“What may also be important is that we want to hear and learn how all of you have a deep understanding of dedication,” added Prof. Arief.(arm)*
