The Hong Kong Ph.D. Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) is established by the Research Grants Council (RGC) of Hong Kong. This fellowship aimed at students who are seeking admission as full-time Ph.D. students in the following universities. Applicants may choose up to two programs\/departments at one or two universities.<\/span><\/p>\n

  • City University of Hong Kong<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Hong Kong Baptist University<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Lingnan University<\/span><\/li>\n
  • The Chinese University of Hong Kong<\/span><\/li>\n
  • The Education University of Hong Kong<\/span><\/li>\n
  • The Hong Kong Polytechnic University<\/span><\/li>\n
  • The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology<\/span><\/li>\n
  • The University of Hong Kong<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
300 Ph.D. Fellowships will be awarded in the 2021\/22 academic year.<\/span><\/p>\n

This fellowship will cover:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Annual Stipend<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    HK$319,200 (approximately US$40,900)<\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Conference and research-related travel allowance<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      HK$13,300 (approximately US$1,700) per year for each awardee for a period up to three years<\/span><\/p>\n

      • For awardees who need more than three years to complete the Ph.D. degree, additional support may be provided by the chosen universities.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
