Pomnas 2019\nwas held in Jakarta from 19 to 26 September 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>According to the\nHead of Unpad Pomnas Delegation Inu Isnaeni Sidiq, M.A., Ph.D., the\nachievements of Unpad athletes in Pomnas 2019 increased significantly compared\nto the previous Pomnas. This improvement in achievement is in accordance with\nwhat Unpad previously targeted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Increased\nquite significantly, especially the gold medal. Compared to 2017, number of\nmedals earned increased significantly. Gold went from one to five, and the\ntotal medals increased by seven, from 12 to 19 medals, &#8220;Inu said when\ncontacted by the Unpad Public Communication Office, Friday (9\/27).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The five gold\nmedals earned included two gold from Women&#8217;s Team Chess, one gold from Men\u2019s\nPencak Silat, one gold from Karate, and one gold from Tarung Derajat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the silver\nmedals earned included one from Men&#8217;s Indoor Hockey, three from Kempo, one from\nTarung Derajat, and one from Swimming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bronze\nmedals came from Women&#8217;s Indoor Hockey (one medal), Women&#8217;s Team Chess (one\nmedal), Women&#8217;s Doubles Tennis (one medal), mixed group Kempo (one medal),\nBadminton (two medals), and Swimming (two medals).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To face the next\nPomnas, Inu also hoped for better preparation. In addition to quality\nimprovement in the training process, athletes are also expected to actively\nparticipate in competitions to improve their competences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;For future\nPomnas, it is hoped that the process of coaching and training in each sport\nstudent activity unit (UKM) can be held in line with their regional sports\nmanagement programs, including participation in various levels of competition\nso that athletes can be better trained and ready to compete for Pomnas XVII\ntickets which is to be held in West Sumatra in 2021, &#8220;hoped Inu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus, Unpad\nathletes also contributed medals to West Java Province. West Java itself was\nranked second in the most medals earned at the National Pomnas with a total of\n24 gold, 20 silver, and 37 bronze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I. Gold-medal\nearners:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1.
