The\nMinistry of Foreign Affairs, Director of Intra-regional and Inter-regional\nCooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Masni Eriza, officially opened\nthe FEALAC Day. “Basically, FEALAC Day was held to make FEALAC more\nvisible to the public as the only inter regional cooperation connecting 16 East\nAsian countries and 20 Latin American countries representing 33.5% of the\nworld’s land mass,” said Masni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Academic\nand Student Manager of the Faculty of Law Unpad, Agus Suwandono, S.H., LL.M.\nsaid this event was a good event to introduce FEALAC to students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Through\nthis event, students can find out what forms of cooperation between East Asia\nand Latin America are,” Agus explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
FEALAC\nDay presented a talk show entitled “Maximizing FEALAC Potential Among\nFEALAC Youth Across Atlantic and Pacific Ocean”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\npanellists on this speech were Second Secretary of Diplomatic and Consular\nCareers of the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Juan Pablo Osorio Jaramillo,\nLecturer in International Relations Study Program of Unpad Viani Puspita Sari,\nS.IP., M.Sc., Coordinator of the FEALAC Volunteer Youth Center Eko Firman\nFadhilah and Desk Officer of Indonesia-European Union Relation of Ministry of\nForeign Affairs Noviasari Rustam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On\nthis occasion, Juan explained briefly about FEALAC and the contributions made\nby Colombia to FEALAC. Not only that, Juan also invited students to get to know\nColombia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“When\nlearning Spanish, which is the official language of Colombia, we will also be\nintroduced to culture, ways of thinking, different point of views, and ways of\nunderstanding Colombian society,” said Juan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Viani\nsaid the young generation of FEALAC must be active in public diplomacy.\n“Public diplomacy does not only belong to diplomats, but the younger\ngeneration can also actively help our diplomats,” Viani said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nFEALAC Day event ended with a workshop with the theme “Coding for Mom and\nWomen Entrepreneurs”. The workshop was hosted by a team from the Asian Law\nStudents’ Association (ALSA) Faculty of Law, Universitas Padjadjaran. *<\/p>\n\n\n\n
