On this occasion, Mohamad Nasir hoped KST Padjadjaran\ncould be better and become a pioneer of a mature KST in Indonesia. KST Unpad\nwas also expected to become an important facility for Unpad to benefit the\nworld.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“If this becomes a mature KST, in the future it\nwill generate revenue for Universitas Padjadjaran,” said Prof. Nasir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Nasir, to be able to improve, the KST\necosystem must be built properly. One of the parts that need to be built is\nwhat is produced by inventors and innovators. Inventors and innovators are\nresearchers who have talents in innovation research and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“It\u2019s pointless for an area of \u200b\u200bscience and\ntechnology if there are no inventors and innovators,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The next stage is the publication and\ncommercialization of research results. According to Prof. Nasir, innovation can\nbe commercialized if there is a development site. Thus, the business can run\nsmoothly. Collaboration between government, business and researchers is also\nimportant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the business becomes an added value for KST, it\nis necessary to build a university holding. “Holding innovations, holding\nthese tenants to generate revenue for a university. Moreover, Universitas Padjadjaran\nhas become a corporate university. This becomes very important, “said\nProf. Nasir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nasir added, KST is expected to not only sell\nproducts. KST must be able to produce research. Therefore, students, especially\nthose from the Doctoral program need to be included. The laboratory is also\ndirected to produce publications and innovations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prof. Nasir also appreciated the leap of innovation\nmade by Universitas Padjadjaran. Padadjaran KST building is expected to be a\nstimulus to become KST that can produce even better benefits for Unpad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I saw the innovations, I was quite proud that\nthe growth of Universitas Padjadjaran was extraordinary in its\ninnovation,” he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, the Acting Unpad Rector (Acting) Prof. Dr. Rina\nIndiastuti, S.E., M.SIE., hoped that this KST in Unpad could be beneficial for\nthe development of West Java and national communities. The KST Padjadjaran\nbuilding was built with facilities from the Kemenristekdikti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We thank the Minister for the construction\nfacilities of the KST Padjadjaran building and their institutional\ndevelopment,” said Prof. Rina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, Prof. Rina said that KST Padjadjaran was\nexpected to function as a pilot center and center for technology transfer. This\nbuilding has also been utilized for various activities, mainly related to the\nthree main functions of KST, namely incubation, technology transfer services,\nand technology and expert services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prof. Rina explained that the competitive advantage of\nKST Padjadjaran is to carry the value of green innovation, with an advance\nmaterial focus on agro-technology. This value is in line with Unpad’s Principal\nScientific Pattern, namely “Bina Mulia Hukum dan Lingkungan Hidup dalam\nPembangunan Nasional”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We really hope that the Padjadjaran KST\ndevelopment, which has been provided with facilities and funding through the\nMinistry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemeristekdikti), can\nmake KST become more independent and have more impact on the development of\nWest Java and national society,” said Prof. Rina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On this occasion the Vice-Rector for Research,\nCommunity Engagement, Cooperation, Innovation, and Business Dr. Keri Lestari,\nS.Si., M.Si., Apt. said that the KST Padjadjaran development was one of the\ninnovation management strategies at Unpad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Unpad already has one of the innovation\nmanagement strategies in which the research developed at the Directorate of\nResearch and Community Service is innovated in the Directorate of Cooperation,\nwe look for partners, then make incubations, downstream through the Sins Zone\nand this technology is commercialized,” explained. Dr. Keri<\/p>\n\n\n\n
KST Padjadjaran itself has been initiated since August 2015 and the building began construction in July 2016. Furthermore, the establishment of a center of excellence and incorporation of KST business incubators was carried out in 2018. This year, KST institutions have been formed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Hopefully this will be part of the real work of Universitas\nPadjadjaran for the progress and economic independence of Indonesia,”\nhoped Dr. Keri<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This occasion also included the signing of a\nMemorandum of Understanding between Unpad and PT Digital Truk and BRI\nMicrofinance Center on the facilitation of the development of Sumedang Micro,\nSmall and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, a Cooperation Agreement between Unpad and\nSumedang Regency, PT Digital Truk and BRI Microfinance was signed on smart\nfarming based on research utilization for the community in Sumedang Regency. *<\/p>\n\n\n\n
