Eleven universities\nfrom different regions of Indonesia participated in the competition. MIDAF 2019\nwas themed \u201cSumarak Adat Nagari dalam\nGelanggang Anak Rantau<\/em>\u201d with the goal of preserving Minang culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The first day of\nMIDAF 2019 started with the opening ceremony and debate competition, both were\nheld at the Faculty of Economics and Business Unpad. Meanwhile, the second day\nfeatured the third-place battle and the final of the debate competition,\nfollowed by the Tari Piringcompetition\nin Bale Sawala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The final of the\ndebate competition featured the Arkamuda team from Faculty of Social and\nPolitical Science (FISIP) Unpad against Forkommi team from Universitas Gadjah\nMada, the motion of the debate was the obligation of Minangkabau students to\npartake in Minangkabau kinship communities or student activity unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At the gala night\nin Bale Santika, awards for the winners of debate and Tari Piringcompetitions were given. Arkamuda team\nfrom FISIP Unpad came out as the winner of the debate competition, Forkommi UGM\ntook the second place, and the STIPRAM Yogyakarta took the third place.
