The presentations were carried out in three locations, namely the Auditorium of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Multimedia Room of the Faculty of Agriculture, and Japanese Language Study Center (PSBJ) at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences Unpad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/international.unpad.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/image-22.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2266\" width=\"216\" height=\"144\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"216\" height=\"144\" src=\"https:\/\/international.unpad.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/image-23.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2267\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"216\" height=\"144\" src=\"https:\/\/international.unpad.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/image-24.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2268\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In each\nlocation, the presentation was conducted in three sessions, each session had different\ncandidates conducting his\/her presentation. The presentation started with a session\nwhere the Prospective Candidate explained his\/her strategies for ten minutes,\nfollowed by a question and answer session and a closing statement.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the Faculty of Pharmacy, the sessions featured Prof. Arief\nSjamsulaksan Kartasasmita, Prof. Dr. Reiza D. Dienaputra, M.Hum., dan Prof. Dr.\nUnang Supratman, M.Si. The three Prospective Rector Candidates explained their\nideas to make Unpad superior and world-class. They also agreed to improve\nUnpad\u2019s ranking at the national and international levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Prof. Unang, the main tool to increase Unpad\u2019s rank,\nboth nationally and internationally, is through research and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhy does it have to be through research and innovation? Because\nif we do research and innovation which are good and excel, the impact is\nmultilayer,\u201d said Prof. Unang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With great research and innovation, the perceived benefits will\nbe seen in the improved quality of education and human resources. Therefore, a\nstrong internal managerial is also needed where all Unpad elements need to be\ninvolved in it. All Unpad elements need to strengthen each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, in Prof. Reiza\u2019s presentation, he also invited\nstudents to build a spirit of togetherness in increasing Unpad excellence. Good\ncollaboration and communication need to be improved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prof. Reiza also emphasized the importance of respect between\ncommunicants and communicator. According to him, being a leader should not feel\nthe most righteous and anti-criticism. On the other hand, those who express\ncriticism must not feel like the most righteous people. Unpad family synergy\nneeds to be maintained for the sake of Unpad excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI really hope that students can become critics to a better\nUnpad,\u201d said Prof. Reiza to the students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On this occasion, Prof. Arief said that the quality of Unpad\nshould not only be seen from the outside, but also from the inside. Students\nalso need to feel the improvement in the quality of Unpad and feel happy\nstudying at Unpad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prof. Arief also invited students to be critical and\nenthusiastic to voice their interests. Whoever the Rector elect is, it is hoped\nthat students will also give their support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI believe if we walk together wherever we are, we will be able\nto achieve our goals,\u201d said Prof. Arief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, at PSBJ Faculty of Cultural Sciences Unpad, the first\nsession featured the presentation by Prof. Dr. Hendarmawan, M.Sc., Dr. Keri\nLestari, M.Si., Apt., and Prof. Dr. Rina Indiastuti, M.SIE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his presentation, Prof. Hendarmawan pointed out that each\nUnpad component must mutually trigger positive changes for the sake of Unpad\u2019s\nimprovement. Thus, he was focusing on strengthening the togetherness of the\nacademic community, alumni, and also society. \u201cA leader has to be the\nprovocateur to step in on improving Unpad. We need to work together so the big\nchallenges can be solved easily,\u201d said Prof. Hendarmawan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, Dr. Keri Lestari said, diversity and togetherness are the\nkeys to solving problems. She also has the idea to implement participatory\nmanagement in designing policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Let&#8217;s sit together to make the system. What I will do\nlater is participatory management, because Unpad is ours,\u201d she said shortly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the meantime, Prof. Rina emphasized that Unpad must provide\nbenefits to society and also be one of the 500 best universities in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;Together we make Unpad advanced to the world-class, adaptive\nand collaborative, supporting the creative space of students and giving\npositive input to Unpad,&#8221; said Prof. Rina.<\/em><em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Faculty of Agriculture, the presentation was filled byProf. Dr. Sri Mulyani, Ak., CA., Dr.\nToni Toharudin, M.Sc., dan Dr. Arry Bainus, M.A. Like six other Prospective\nRector, the three candidates agreed to encouraged togetherness in improving\nUnpad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have to live in harmony to bring Unpad progress,\u201d said Dr.\nArry in his presentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Arry said this harmony is expected to make Unpad a superior entrepreneurial university in the world-class education and research fields and contribute to society in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides togetherness, Dr. Toni said that innovation must be\nstrengthened by Unpad to be able to one of the 500 world&#8217;s best universities in\n2024. He considered Unpad must be adaptive to the digital ecosystem.
