This competition was held by Tree Grower Community, a Profession\nAssociation at the Department of Silviculture, Faculty of Forestry, IPB in\ncollaboration with the International Conference on Tropical Silviculture\n(ICTS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The theme for this Scientific Writing Contest was \u201cIndonesia\nForest Sustainable Development\u201d. This theme was divided into several other\nsub-themes, which are biodiversity, forest fire and climate change,\nagroforestry and forest plantation, ecosystem services, non-timber forest\nproducts, uneven-aged silviculture, and forest degradation and rehabilitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe chose the ecosystem services sub-theme with the title\n\u2018Reorientasi Manajemen Urbanisasi Melalui Pengembangan Ruang Terbuka Hijau di\nPerkotaan Indonesia Menuju SDGs Tahun 2030\u2019 (Reorienting Urbanization\nManagement through the Development of Green Open Spaces in Indonesian Cities\nTowards Achieving 2030 SDGs),\u201d said Fikri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These three Unpad students were advised by Dr.rer.nat Tri Dewi\nK. Priadi, M.Si. The competition started with the sending of abstracts and\nposters, then the full papers. Ten qualified participants presented their ideas\nin front of the judges, and were then selected for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Participants who succeed in getting the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place\nmust send their posters back which will be exhibited at the 2nd<\/sup>\nInternational Conference on Tropical Silviculture, an International Seminar.\nThe seminar was also held by the Silviculture Department of IPB University\u2019s\nFaculty of Forestry.
