[unpad.ac.id, 11\/9\/2019] Universitas Padjadjaran reached its 62nd<\/sup> birthday on Wednesday, September 11, 2019. Unpad has strived for six decades to provide the best service for West Java, Indonesia, and abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since\nit was established as a tertiary institution on September 11, 1957, Unpad has\nhad a noble goal, namely, to expand the opportunities of the community to\npursue higher education in order to participate in developing the intellectual\nlife of the nation and advancing public welfare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“On\nthis occasion, together we are reflecting on various efforts and performance\nthat we have done to produce leaders in the future that will bring Indonesia to\nbecome a superior, strong, just and prosperous country, and with global\ncompetitiveness,” said the Acting Rector of Unpad, Prof. Dr. Rina\nIndiastuti, S.E., M.SIE. in commemoration of Unpad\u2019s 62nd<\/sup> Dies\nNatalis at Grha Sanusi Hardjadinata Unpad, Jalan Dipati Ukur No. 35 Bandung,\nWednesday (11\/9).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At\nthe commemoration of the 62nd<\/sup> Dies Natalis, the theme that was\ncarried was “Padjadjaran University on the World Stage”. Thus, the\nentire series of commemoration activities for the Anniversary was focused on\nstrengthening Unpad’s role and real work and strengthening synergies in the\ninternal to international sphere in strengthening positive influence on\npeople’s welfare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore\nProf. Rina said, in line with the government’s commitment to focus on developing\nsuperior human resources, it became the spirit as well as the challenge to\nstrengthen the quality of Unpad’s innovation. According to Prof. Rina, in\naddition to producing world-class superior human resources, university\ninnovation was also carried out by downstreaming research results for the\nproblems of the Indonesian people, especially West Java.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In\nthe current era of disruption, innovation has become a necessity if we do not\nwant to be left behind with the various advances and demands of the rapidly\nchanging era. Unpad is expected to be the actor and leader of the change,\n“said Prof. Rina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On\nthis occasion, Prof. Rina also invited all Unpad academics to always respect\nand continue the struggle of the founders of Unpad who have planted milestones\nand characteristics from Universitas Padjadjaran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Together\nwe realize that the implementation of the tridharma<\/em>\nof higher education in Unpad will never be separated from the Basic Scientific\nPattern of Unpad that was initiated by our previous teachers namely Prof.\nMochtar Kusumaatmadja, Prof. Otto Soemarwoto, and Prof. Didi Atmadilaga with\nhis formula that reads \u2018The noble development of law and the environment in\nnational development\u2019 which is the identity and excellence of Unpad, “said\nProf. Rina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This\nyear, Prof. Mochtar Kusumaatmadja celebrated his 90th<\/sup> birthday. In\nthis Dies Natalis commemoration, Unpad also gave an appreciation in the form of\na lifetime achievement award for all the services of Prof. Mochtar to Unpad.\nThe award was symbolically given by Prof. Rina to the Dean of the Faculty of\nLaw Unpad Prof. Dr. An An Chandrawulan, SH, LLM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Hopefully his example can be emulated by all of us and the future generations of Universitas Padjadjaran,” hoped Prof. Rina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In\naddition, on this occasion there was also held a symbolic inauguration of the\nPalamarta Unpad Mall and the launch of the Unpad Smart Card. Palamarta Unpad\nMall is an Unpad e-commerce platform which contains quality research and\ninnovation products. In addition to being a place for selling Unpad innovation\nproducts, Palamarta Unpad Mall also sells Unpad-assisted MSME products,\nsouvenirs, and so on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile,\nUnpad Smart Card is an Unpad employee identity card that can also function as a\nmeans of payment, and to give access to various Unpad facilities and parking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In\nthe commemoration of the 62nd Anniversary, an exhibition of Unpad innovation\nand entrepreneurship products was also held, entitled “Small Medium\nEnterprise Festival” which was held at the Unpad campus, Jalan Dipati Ukur\nNo. 35, Bandung, Wednesday (11\/9). *<\/p>\n\n\n\n
