[unpad.ac.id, 3\/9\/2019] Aditya Pratama, a student from the Universitas Padjadjaran Faculty of Geological Engineering (FTG Unpad), won second place in the Technology Subsector in the Deureuham 2019: Islamic Creative Economy Competition which was held by BNI Syariah and Creative Economy Agency. <\/strong>The winner announcement and award ceremony was held at the Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, Sunday (1\/9).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All participants had gone through a series of\ncompetitions, starting from administrative selection and regional judging, until 30 finalists were chosen to take part in the Bootcamp in Bandung. At the end of the\nactivity, 8 winners from 4 subsectors were selected. Those subsectors are craft, <\/strong>digital creation service, culinary, dan technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAlhamdulillah, I won second place in the technology category,\u201d said Aditya when interviewed at the Unpad\u2019s Office of Public Communications, Monday (2\/9)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aditya succeeded in becoming one of the winners\nwith his start-up business called \u201cCerebrum\u201d.\nCerebrum provides free online tutoring and is intended for high school students and those\nwho want to take part in university selection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Aditya, there are currently\nat least\nfour problems with conventional tutoring. First, most tutoring is expensive.\nSecond, conventional tutoring is inaccessible for rural communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Third, when rural communities don\u2019t have access, there are\npossibilities that rural and urban communities don\u2019t have the same opportunities\nto enter university. Fourth, the scheduled learning process in conventional\ntutoring makes it difficult for participants who want to learn outside the\nmaterial being taught.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFrom those four problems, I provide the solution through\nCerebrum,\u201d said Aditya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since it was pioneered in 2018, Cerebrum has been followed and\nappreciated by hundreds of thousands of participants. Aditya\nsaid that many participants admit being helped by this free tutoring.\nParticipants could deepen the subject matter wherever and whenever they wanted\nto. Studying becomes fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur learning media is on the website and can also be accessed\non the Cerebrum application which can be downloaded from the Playstore.\nWe also save all the learning videos on Cerebrum\u2019s Youtube channel,\u201d said Aditya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other than free tutoring, Cerebrum also offers quality online\ntryouts at very cheap prices. Tryouts can be done anywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn Cerebrum we emphasize free online tutoring and Indonesia\u2019s\nnumber one online tryouts,\u201d said Aditya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the future, Aditya hoped Cerebrum will develop more, not\nonly free tutoring for high school students but also free tutoring for all\nlevels of society. One of the features that Cerebrum wants to develop is a\nmedium for learning to recite and memorize the Quran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being one of the winners of Deureuham 2019, Aditya has the right\nto receive funds for the development of Cerebrum. In\naddition to getting a grant, Aditya also appreciated the event because he gained\na lot of knowledge about proper business management there.*<\/p>\n\n\n\n
