The adhesive bandage contains active ingredients in the form of <em>Turbinaria ornata<\/em> extract from the coast of Sayang Heulang beach, Pameungpeuk, Garut. * <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPlesetan\u201d or \u201cPlester Penutup\nLuka <em>Turbinaria ornata<\/em>\u201d (<em>Turbinaria ornata<\/em> adhesive bandage) was\ndeveloped by Dede Jihan Oktaviani, Shella Widiyastuti, Dian Amalia Maharani,\nAgni Nur Amalia, and Asep Maulan Ishak with their supervisor Dr. Ade Zuhrotun,\nM.Si., Apt. The product is a Student Creativity Program of Entrepreneurship (PKM-K)\nwhich has successfully received funding from the Indonesian Ministry of\nResearch, Technology and Higher Education in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a release received by the\nUnpad Public Communication Office, it was explained that <em>Turbinaria ornata<\/em>\nextract contains neophytadiene which promotes wound closure. This <em>Turbinaria\nornata<\/em> extract adhesive bandage has been tested for its effectiveness through\nanimal testing and it is known that adhesive bandages containing <em>Turbinaria\nornata<\/em> extract can help wounds close twice as fast compared to commercial\nadhesive bandages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This product has been\nintroduced to a number of health communities such as medical personnel and\npharmacists.
