<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nUnpad acting Rector, Prof. Dr. Rina Indiastuti, M. SIE,\nexplained that in line with the SNMPTN and SBMPTN pathways, the Independent\nAdmission test also aims to attract prospective students with the best input.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOf course, Unpad has consistently aiming to improve the\nquality of education. The quality of education will be easily improved if the\nquality of its students is high,\u201d said Prof. Rina holding a press conference at\nthe Unpad Executive Lounge room, Jalan Dipati Ukur No. 35, Bandung, Saturday\n(1\/6).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Unpad Independent test can be taken by senior high\nschool\/Islamic senior high school\/vocational high school students starting from\n2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 graduates. Selection is divided into two test\ngroups, namely Science and Technology (Saintek) and Humanities and Social\nSciences (Soshum).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are two exam stages in the Unpad International\nAdmission Test. Thus, the method of selection carried out in the Independent\nTest of Universitas Padjadjaran will be more comprehensive compared to a\nnational selection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first stage of the Independent Admission test is a\nComputer Based Writing Exam (UTBK) conducted independently through an Android\ndevice. This exam is divided into two tests, namely Academic Competency Test\n(TPA) and Scholastic Competency Test (TPS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Academic Potential Tests will test subjects that are in\naccordance with the chosen test group, such as mathematical science, physics,\nbiology, and chemistry for the Saintek group, and social mathematics,\ngeographic, historical, sociology, and economics for the Soshum group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Scholastic Competency Test will test the knowledge,\nunderstanding, general reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and the ability to\nunderstand written text.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After passing the first stage of the selection, participants\nmust take part in the second selection in the form of a TOEFL test and\ninterview following the mini interview model (MMI). In addition, there are also\nspecial tests conducted by certain faculties, namely the Minnesota Multiphasic\nPersonality Inventory (MMPI) test for the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty\nof Dentistry, as well as a swimming ability test for the Faculty of Fisheries\nand Marine Sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Unpad Deputy Rector for Academic and Student Affairs Dr.\nArry Bainus, M.A., explained that all Independent Admission registrants will\ntake part in the first phase of the test. For the second stage, Unpad will only\nadmit a number of participants up to twice the capacity of the Independent\nAdmission test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTherefore, the competition is only 1: 2,\u201d said Dr. Arry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Independent Admission test registration is open from 17\nJune to 30 June 2019. Participants can access registration information on the\nhttp:\/\/smup.unpad.ac.id\/ page. The registration fee for the Mandiri Line is IDR\n500,000 and IDR 600,000 for study programs that require special tests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first phase of the examination will be held from July 6\nto 7, while the announcement will be made on July 11. The second phase of the\nexam will be held from July 13 to 14 and special tests will be held from July\n15 to 16. The results of the Independent Admission path will be announced\nstarting July 18, 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Development Fund<\/strong> \u201cThis development is for the development of Unpad education\nquality,\u201d said Prof. Rina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This development fund is needed to prepare college graduates\nto fit the demands of the times. Prof. Rina ensured that the development funds\nwould be used to fulfill the 8 National Higher Education Standards (SNPT) that\nhave been set by the government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Students who have been accepted through the Independent\nAdmission Test will be charged the highest Tuition Rate (UKT) and subject to\ndevelopment funds. The range of development funds for science and technology\nstudy group is between IDR 20 million and IDR 250 million. Meanwhile, the range\nof development funds for the humanities and social science study program group\nranges from IDR 15 million to IDR 75 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n However, Unpad continues to open the Independent Admission\nTest for everyone. Prof. Rina said that participants who come from poor\nfamilies still have the opportunity to take part in the selection. When\naccepted, students who are financially incapable will not be charged the\ndevelopment funds and tuition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Android-Based<\/strong> In addition to UTBK, holding the exam using an Android\ndevice will also be used during the TOEFL test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Dr. Arry explained that there are several provisions for\ncompatible devices used for examinations. Technically, the device must have a\nminimum operating system (OS) must be an Android system of at least 6.0.1\n“Marshmallow”, have a minimum RAM of 2 GB, and a minimum screen size\nof 5 inches. Participants are also advised to bring chargers, power banks and\nearphones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Technically, participants will get access to the question\napplication after registering. Participants can also do a simulation of working\non the problems just before the test begins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Regarding security issues, Dr. Arry guarantees that this\napplication is safe from interference. Participants also cannot cheat, because\nonce they enter the application, participants cannot use other applications on\nthe mobile device. Prof. Rina explained that there are consequences from the opening of the Independent Admission path, namely the existence of development funds paid by students after being declared to have passed the selection. This is in accordance with the mandate in the legislation that students or parents\/guardians\/sponsors may be subject to development fund collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this Independent Admission Test, Unpad was again innovative by holding the UTBK test using Android devices. This method has been implemented previously during the 2018 SBMPTN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
