They are Alfi Nur\nAfifah and Dzaka Ali Saiful Husna, with supervisors, Dr. Ir. Emi Sukiyah, MT.,\nDr. Ir. Dewi Gentana, Dipl. Geothermal, M.M., and Adi Hardiyono, S.T., M.T.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the competition,\nparticipants were asked to make a model using the Micromine application based\non the data provided. The modeling results made by the team were presented\nbefore the jury and observers from Micromine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are asked\nto model the data. The main thing is we model the gold ore body, “said\nDzaka when met at the FTG Unpad campus on Thursday (8\/5).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FTG Unpad itself\nsent five teams to compete in the event. Each team consisted of two people. Of\nthe five Unpad teams that took part in the initial selection, Alfi and Dzaka\nwere declared to be finalists to compete in Yogyakarta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Micromine itself is\nan application commonly used in the world of mining, especially in mineral\nexploration. Unpad is one of the universities that has received an academic\nlicense from Micromine. Thus, Unpad students, especially from FTG, have used\nthis application to support learning activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This software is important in the mining world. One of the fields of work of Geology alumni is in the mining world. So if he has Micromine competency, it can be one of the advantages. Moreover (if the accomplishment is) accompanied by a certificate or by being participant in a competition,” said Dr. Emi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the\nachievement, Alfi, Dzaka, and the supervisors hoped that in the future Unpad\ncould improve its achievements with better preparation. In addition, they also\nhope that more Unpad students can explore the Micromine application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Hopefully, we\ncan optimize the use of this application,” added Adi Hardiyono. *<\/p>\n\n\n\n
