(Photo: Tedi Yusup) *

Cecep graduated at the session III at Grha
Sanusi Hardjadinata Unpad, Friday (3/5). Interviewed before the graduation
ceremony, Cecep revealed that the title of the best graduate was not one of his
life goals, but he was very proud of this achievement. This predicate shows the
best achievement that he got.

“I believe every graduate has their own
struggles. So I don’t think being the best graduate is something to brag about,
but as a self-achievement, it shows that you can be one of the best,”
Cecep said.

During his college years, Cecep actively
participated in internal and external activities and competitions. Some of the
achievements he achieved includes being the Peace Essay Competition Runner-up
“En Route to Jusuf Kalla Nomination for Nobel Peace Prize” which was
held by Jenggala Institute of Strategic Studies in 2018 and Best Country
Statement at the Short Diplomatic Course at the National Meeting of HI Students
throughout Indonesia in 2016.

In addition, Cecep was also elected Chair of
the Indonesian Delegation for the 2018 JENESYS Peace-building Exchange Program,
chair of the Student Session of Bali Democracy Forum X in 2017, Indonesian
delegation for the 2017 Indonesia-China Youth Exchange, and the Indonesian
delegation to ASEAN Inter-parliamentary Commission for Human Right Debate
(AICHR) in 2016 and 2017.

Cecep was also active in the Unpad
International Relations Student Association and the Unpad Speaking Union.

Although active in various student activities,
Cecep admitted that he had no difficulty in dividing his time. To support
academic achievement, he participated in various activities in line with his
lecture material.

“So (do it to) support each (goals). For
me it is a good strategy to have organizational and leadership experience,
competition experience and a good GPA, “said the youngest son of the
couple Neneng Kurniasih and Asep Diana.

Cecep also admitted that he really enjoyed
undergoing lectures at Unpad. The difficulties he faced were not considered
obstacles, but were taken in a pleasant direction. He also made friends’
support as an energy boost to keep up the spirit of various activities. Every
activity he takes, he always does it with all his heart.

“For me, I have to go through every step
of my course in college by having fun. Don’t be too stressed out. Even though
it’s a difficult thing to do, look for friends to help us, because the name of
the trip cannot be individual. By having more friends, difficult things can be
easier,” said the man who wants to be a diplomat.

Shortly after graduating, February 2019, Cecep
was accepted to work at a management consultant company in Jakarta. Although he
is currently busy with his work, Cecep still wants to find more knowledge. He
also plans to continue his studies in a field he enjoys, namely relations
between countries, especially related to economics and the environment.

“I still want to go to school first. I
still crave for knowledge. I still want to find more knowledge that can be more
impactful for myself and also for the community in the future. In the future I
just want to be a ‘people server’,” hoped Cecep. *

Report by Artanti Hendriyana / am
Translation by Zaki Intan Cindyagita / zk

Instagram: @internationalofficeunpad
LikedIn : International Office Universitas Padjadjaran
Twitter : @upgrade_io
Facebook : Universitas Padjadjaran’s Global Relation and Advancements
Website : international.unpad.ac.id

[unpad.ac.id, 3/5/2019] Cecep Hermawan from the International Relations study program at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Universitas Padjadjaran became the best bachelor graduate of Graduation III of Academic Year 2018/2019.
