(Photo: Tedi Yusup) * <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This was said by\nthe professor of the Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Padjadjaran, Prof. Dr.\nYosini Deliana, Ir., M.Sc., when delivering a scientific speech entitled\n&#8220;Generation of Green Marketing&#8221; in the Inaugural Ceremony and\nScientific Oration of the Position of Professors held at Grha Sanusi\nHardjadinata Unpad Dipati Ukur No. 35 Bandung, Monday (29\/4).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the ceremony,\nProf. Yosini was inaugurated as professor of Agricultural Economics at Unpad\nFaculty of Agriculture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prof. Yosini\nexplained, the concept of green marketing is a terminology derived from an\necological perspective. This concept is very close to the implementation of the\nSustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which can be applied to all social sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If this concept is\napplied to every layer of the human generation, we could see how different the\nbehavior would be. Currently, said Prof. Yosini, there are four dominant\ngenerations, namely the Baby Boomer generation (1946-1964), Generation X\n(1965-1976), Generation Y (1977-1994), and Generation Z (1994 &#8211; 2013).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Every\ngeneration has unique characteristics in terms of expectations, experiences,\nlifestyle, environment, and values \u200b\u200bthat are understood. This situation\naffects every generation in their buying behavior,&#8221; she explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By using the\nArtificial Neural Network (ANN) model, Prof. Yosini found that there were\ndifferences in the level of green behavior between generations. Each of these\ngenerations is more likely to have better behavior towards green consumption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Generation Y is a\ngeneration with a higher level of green behavior than other generations, with\nan average level at the middle level. While the Baby Boomer and X generations\nhave lower levels of green consumption behavior than generation Y and Z.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Social\nnetworking by utilizing information technology has a tendency to influence the\nperspective of the younger generation to adopt green consumption\nbehavior,&#8221; said Prof. Yosini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prof. Yosini said,\nthe green concept in the future is no longer talking about environmentally\nfriendly, but more about touching all layers of humans. &#8220;Massive\nintelligent technology is applied in various fields to be inhospitable to human\nresources.
