“(There will be trial) from\nthe 10th<\/sup> until the end of April,” said Head of the Unpad\nEnvironmental Management Office, Dr. Teguh Husodo, M.Sc. when interviewed in\nhis office on Monday (1\/4).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Dr. Teguh explained, starting\nApril 10, 2019, at 05.00 to 20.00 WIB, the South Gate (Old Gate) of Universitas\nPadjadjaran Jatinangor is going to be used only by pedestrians. The gate would\nthen be closed for vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Two-wheeled vehicles are required\nto enter through Unpad West Gate (near BNI Bank and Mandiri Bank) and four-wheeled\nvehicles are required to enter through the Unpad Bridge Gate. The North Gate of\nUnpad is only intended for six-wheeled vehicles or more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “After 20.00 WIB until 04:59\nWIB, the South Gate (will be) the entrance and exit gate. (This is to ensure\nthe) one door (system), “said Dr. Teguh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Dr. Teguh said the change was a\nresponse to the appeal of the Sumedang District Transportation Agency regarding\nthe arrangement of traffic in Unpad gate area. In addition, this new regulation\nis also to re-optimize Unpad bridge facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “With this optimization, we\nhope we can help in reducing traffic congestion as well,” he hoped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Dr. Teguh also said, in addition\nto ensure traffic orderliness, the arrangement also aims to support the\nsecurity system in the campus environment. It is expected that focusing on the\ngate function can improve security on Unpad campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “It (is also intended to be)\nfocused on facilitating security arrangements later on,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To ensure the ease of publication\nand implementation, a number of coordination has been carried out with various\nparties on and off the campus. The coordination was carried out with Muspika\nJatinangor and the Transportation Office of Sumedang Regency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During the trial period, there\nwill also be evaluations.
