[unpad.ac.id, 28\/03\/2019] The Universitas Padjadjaran Faculty of Medicine team won four titles at the Science Atma Cordis \u201cAesculapius: Atmajaya Scholar Competition and Annual Congress 2019\u201d held by Atmajaya Catholic University Jakarta\u2019s Faculty of Medicine, from 20-23 March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Universitas Padjadjaran Faculty of Medicine students earned four winning titles at the Science Atma Cordis \u201cAesculapius: Atmajaya Scholar Competition and Annual Congress 2019\u201d held by Atmajaya Catholic University Jakarta\u2019s Faculty of Medicine, from 20-23 March. <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The awards are 1st<\/sup> Winner of Public Health\nposter, 2nd<\/sup> winner of public education video, and first and second\nwinner of scientific poster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bringing up the theme \u201cBye Bye Oxidant, Bye Bye Cancer!\u201d,\nthe FK Unpad team composed of Ryzkianty Annis Nurdin and Rafa Fathia Suhud\nbecome the 1st<\/sup> winner of the public health poster category.\nAccording to Rafa, the theme is intended to educate millennials on the dangers\nof oxidants as a cancer trigger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBecause the theme of the event itself is about cancer and\nafter we did some research on WHO, we decided to take a preventive step. Our\neducation is aimed more toward millennials who have different characteristics\nfrom previous generations. This generation needs to know the cause before\nbelieving something,\u201d told Rafa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For that, Rafa and her team encourage the younger generation\nto lead a healthy lifestyle to avoid cancer. They suggest to live a healthy\nlifestyle such as consuming a lot of vegetables and fruits, avoiding cigarettes\nand pollution, as well as working out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In achieving the award, Rafa and team hope that they can\nmotivate other Unpad students to be confident in scientific competitions. \u201cNot\nonly we can seize the prize, we can also broaden our knowledge and get to new\nfriends,\u201d added Rafa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aside the public health poster category, an educative video\ntitled \u201cBye Bye Oxidant, Bye Bye Cancer!\u201d also won 2nd<\/sup> place in the\npublic education video category with team members Rafa Fathia Suhud, Fadli Zaky\nArsydinilhuda, and Ryzkianty Annis Nurdin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another FK Unpad student who secured the podium was Putri\nNadhira Adinda Adriansyah who achieved 1st<\/sup> place in the scientific\nposter category. In the competition, Putri brought the theme \u201cThe Potential of\nGen Therapy based on MicroRNA with Specific Triple-Helix Hydrogel Scaffold as\nGen Therapy Innovation in Suppressing the Number of Global Cervical Cancer\nMortality\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, Fiyandi Afianda and Mutiara Rahmah Amari\nachieved 2nd<\/sup> place in the scientific poster category with the title\n\u201cSalmonella Thyphimurium engineering with Specific RGD Peptide \u0251V\u03b23 as the\nLatest Therapy for Breast Cancer\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
