“Unpad’s collaboration with\nAkita University has good prospects going forward,” said the Rector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the Memorandum of\nUnderstanding, the two universities agreed to undertake cooperation including\nthe exchange of teaching staff, researchers, and administration; student\nexchange; conduct joint research; hold general lectures and symposiums; the\nexchange of academic information; shared laboratory use; as well as various\nother collaborative activities centered around the Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three\nPillars of Higher Education comprising Education, Research and Community\nService).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a first step, the Faculty of\nGeological Engineering (FTG) will be the first faculty that implements\ncooperation with Akita University. One of the plans that will be developed is\nthe implementation of the Dual Master\u2019s Degree Program between FTG Unpad and\nAkita University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Rector said that in the field\nof geology, this cooperation is expected to contribute to the resolution of\ngeological challenges, especially in West Java. “With the competencies\nthat we have, the Government has given us (Unpad) the opportunity to contribute\nto optimizing various potential geological resources,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Rector also hopes that future cooperation will involve the various other faculties in Unpad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
