(Photo: Tedi Yusup) <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey are comprised of 16 students from the bachelor program\nand 2 diploma program,\u201d told the Director of Education and Student Affairs\nProf. Dr. Wawan Hermawan, M.S., when met between the selection proceedings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Told by Prof. Wawan, the selection process is done according\nto the national level selection. The assessment criteria are seen from GPA,\nscientific paper, award or accomplishment, foreign language, and personality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, Prof. Wawan said that the socialization and\nselection of outstanding students at the faculty level is done for two months.\nThe selection process at the faculty level is left to each faculty to select\nthe best student, both from their hard skill and soft skill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other than that, the selection process also involves the\nUnpad Student Executive Board (BEM Kema) to give input and push the students to\njoin the selection for outstanding student.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c[We hope] the involvement of BEM can help in the talent\nscouting process in this Pilmapres,\u201d said Prof. Wawan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The university level selection is done in two stages. In the\nfirst stage, three best students will be chosen to get guidance and take part\nin the second stage of selection. After that, in the second stage, one best\nstudent will be chosen to represent Unpad at the national level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prof. Wawan also hopes that this year an Unpad student will\nget a medal or at least be in the top three at the national level of Pilmares.\nLast year, Unpad was in the fourth place in the national Pilmapres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHopefully with all of this hard work, we hope Unpad will\nplace again at the national level.
