Prof. Bergman was born in Bukittinggi,\nWest Sumatra, October 5, 1946. He completed his Dentistry Professional study in\n1973, an Orthodontic Specialist in 1988, and a Doctoral study in 1998. All of\nhis educational programs were completed at Unpad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Serving as a lecturer in the\nOrthodontics Department of Unpad Faculty of Dentistry, he achieved the position\nof Professor in the field of Orthodontics. In addition to actively teaching,\nresearching, and opening dental practice, he was also active in the field of\nprofessional organizations, one of which was he being the advisor for the\nIndonesian Orthodontic Association for 2017-2020 period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the field of research, his last\nposition was as a research chairperson of the Unpad Academic Leadership Grant\n(ALG) study with the title “Relationship of Malocclusion Severity with\nConfidence and Orthodontic Care Needs towards Improving the Quality of Life for\nSundanese Youth in West Java”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He received the last tribute in the\nceremony held at the Al Jihad Mosque in Unpad campus, Dipati Ukur 35, Bandung,\nMonday (11\/3). On this occasion, Unpad Deputy Chancellor for Finance and\nResources, Prof. Arief Sjamsulaksan Kartasasmita, PhD expressed his\ncondolences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We know that he was a consistent,\nhighly dedicated figure in endeavoring the improvement of his students\u2019\neducation,” said Prof. Arief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the release, the deceased was\nburied at Sirnaraga Public Cemetery, Bandung City. *<\/p>\n\n\n\n
