This program, \u201cUnpad-Go Literate Trip 2019 Ekspedisi Koridor Jabar Selatan\u201d (Unpad-Go Literate Trip 2019 Southern West Java Corridor Expedition), was initiated by the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Husbandry working together with the Faculty of Cultural Studies.<\/p>\n
[Rector of Universitas Padjadjaran, Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad, accepted a book symbolically from the head of the West Java Indonesian Association of Graphics Company (PPGI), Dedy Firmansyah, in the handover ceremony held at Graha Kandaga Unpad, Jatinangor, Friday (8\/3). 20,226 copies of books is going to be sent by Unpad to four regions in the southern part of West Java.]<\/p>\n
The project officer, Suci Rahayu Safitri, said that this book donation program is a follow-up from the expedition of southern West Java which is held annually by BEM Faculty of Husbandry. As much as 20,226 copies of books will be granted to schools and pre-schools in Cipatujah in Tasikmalaya regency, Karangwangi in Garut regency, Cidaun in Cianjut regency, and Ciemas in Sukabumi regency.<\/p>\n
All books in this program were donated by the publisher CV Arya Duta. The books donated are elementary and middle school textbooks, as well as books for kindergarten students. Suci said, every regency gets 5,000 to 7,000 books.<\/p>\n

Arya Duta, Muhammad Taufik and head of the West Java branch of Indonesian Association of Graphics Company (PPGI), Dedy Firmansyah to Unapd Rector Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad, Unpad DiRector of Academics and Library Dr. Teuku Yan Waliana Muda Iskandarsyah, Dean of Unpad\u2019s Faculty of Husbandry Prof. Dr. Husmy Yurmiati, and Dean of Unpad\u2019s Faculty of Humanities Yuyu Yohana Risagrniwa, Ph.D.<\/p>\n
At the opportunity, the Rector explained that the book donation program is Unpad\u2019s attempt to increase West Java\u2019s literacy, especially in the southern part. This region has a vivid disparity compared to the northern part of West Java.<\/p>\n
\u201cOn one side, the development of technology literacy is remarkable. Meanwhile, the other side doesn\u2019t have a good access to literacy.\u201d<\/p>\n
Specifically the Rector relayed, book donation programs are one of the applications of Sociopreneurship<\/em>. He hopes that many students will be involved in similar programs.<\/p>\n \u201cMore students (are expected) to develop their Sociopreneurship<\/em>. In both literacy and other aspects, especially in developing villagers,\u201d said the Rector.<\/p>\n As one of West Java\u2019s power, the village sector must be developed well. The Rector said, increasing literacy in villages is very important. If a village\u2019s is associated with the one village-one company program, then a competent human resource must be prepared.<\/p>\n \u201cIf the human capital is not potent, their knowledge is feeble, someday they will only be an employee,\u201d added the Rector.<\/p>\n The Rector also gave an appreciation toward the book donation program initiated by students.
