Upon landing at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK), please adhere to the following steps:<\/span><\/p>

  • Documents Check:<\/b> Present your admission documents, which include your <\/span>e-Visa, Study Permit, Universitas Padjadjaran acceptance letter<\/b>, and <\/span>passport<\/b>, to the immigration officers.<\/span><\/li>
  • Temporary Stay Permit:<\/b> Secure your <\/span>Temporary Stay Permit (ITAS)<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>
  • Dual Citizenship:<\/b> If you hold dual citizenship, ensure you use the <\/span>passport referenced on your e-Visa<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>
  • Border Control:<\/b> Confirm that the <\/span>arrival sticker<\/b> on your passport is accurate before proceeding.<\/span><\/li>
  • IMEI Registration:<\/b> Register your device’s <\/span>IMEI<\/b> to guarantee that your phone, tablet, or other communication devices can connect to local SIM cards and access the internet in Indonesia.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    IMEI Registration Procedure at the Airport<\/b><\/p>

    About IMEI<\/b><\/p>

    IMEI stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity or the unique number of your mobile device. Every officially produced phone has it.<\/span><\/p>

    The Indonesian government has decided to impose such measures on phones coming from abroad to Indonesia since October 2020 to battle the illegal phone trade in Indonesia. The Government created this online system where all phones must be registered to be discoverable by local mobile operators. All phones from outside the country must be registered with the Indonesian Customs. If you wish your device to operate in Indonesia, you should register it unless you plan to buy a new phone from Indonesia.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

    The IMEI registration form can be submitted to customs officials at the International Arrival Terminal upon arrival in Indonesia.<\/span><\/p>

    There is no fee for registering IMEI, but there is a duty on importation in the form of import duties and value-added tax that must be paid if it does not receive an exemption according to applicable regulations.<\/span><\/p>

    Here are the steps to follow to register your IMEI:<\/b><\/p>

    1. IMEI registration is done by filling out and submitting an electronic registration form to the Directorate General of Customs and Excise through the website https:\/\/www.beacukai.go.id or through the Mobile Beacukai application (which can be downloaded from the play store).<\/span><\/li>
    2. If a Customs Office has implemented ECD (Electronic Customs Declaration), IMEI registration can be done simultaneously when filling out ECD.<\/span><\/li>
    3. Then, the electronic form filled out in the form of a QR Code must be submitted to Customs officials upon arrival in Indonesia, accompanied by a passport, boarding pass, invoice (if available), and other supporting identity documents.<\/span><\/li>
    4. If a passenger has not filled out the IMEI registration form, they can register their IMEI by informing Customs officials at the arrival terminal to record\/scan the IMEI and passport. In cases where the electronic device value is under USD 500, the registration process is complete. In cases where the value is over USD 500, further calculation will be conducted.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
    5. Please note that registering the IMEI is free of charge (for devices under 500 USD) only if it is done at the airport. However, if passengers miss that, they will need to do it in another customs office, but there will be no waivers or discounts.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
