[unpad.ac.id, 25/3/2020] A student of the Universitas Padjadjaran Management Study Program, Faza Anggana Putra, participated in AIESEC’s Global Volunteer program in Sammatz, Germany, from January 18 to March 2.
This program was a social project with the theme of “Build an Art Room in a Sustainable and Intercultural Village”. It was a collaboration between AIESEC Germany, AIESEC Indonesia, and several non-governmental organizations, and was attended by over 100 volunteers from 8 countries.
“This project aimed to develop Sammatz Village to become one of the tourist villages in Germany,” said Faza.
This project implemented the 11th goal of the Sustainable Development Goals, which is the development of sustainable cities and communities.
For six weeks, Faza and other volunteers carried out projects in various fields. Volunteers built homes for tourists who want to stay overnight, fed and cleaned animal cages, and also helped local community shops to sell their daily wares. Each volunteer was required to work 7.5 hours a day.
