Visa and Stay Permit

Prospective international students must apply for a Visa. The Indonesian stay permit is directly connected to the visa application process. Therefore, by applying for a visa, applicants will receive the stay permit as part of the process.

other information : - If you meet the conditions, you will automatically obtain the Electronic Limited Stay Permit (e-ITAS) and the Re-Entry Permit upon arrival at the Immigration Checkpoint (you do not need to go to the immigration office to obtain a Limited Stay Permit and Re-Entry Permit).
- Staying in Indonesia beyond the period of your residence permit, engaging in prohibited activities, not complying with visa requirements, and/or not complying with Indonesian laws may result in you paying fines, being deported, and/or other legal charges.
- In addition to the electronic limited stay permit, the limited stay permit also has a physical card available at the immigration office.

Document requierements - Valid Nationality Passport at least 6 (six) months.
- Proof of living expenses of at least US$ 2,000 (two thousand US Dollars) or equivalent.
- Latest color photograph.
- Curriculum Vitae.
- Travel Itinerary.
- Guarantee letter from a guarantor, which is an Indonesian citizen or the educational institution where foreigners carry out education (Provided by Unpad).
- Letter of acceptance from the educational institution in Indonesia that explains the length of time the foreigner will be enrolled in the educational institution (Provided by Unpad).
- Passport valid for at least 6 (six) months (for holders of travel documents other than passports such as emergency passports, documents of identity, etc. must be valid for 12 months).
- Personal bank statement the last 3 months period (including name, date of period, and balance account).
- A recent color photograph.
- Proof of guarantee from the guarantor
- Proof of registration or certificate as a participant in benchmarking activity, short courses, or short training program from government agency or private institution.
You must present the required documents upon arrival at the immigration checkpoint, such as:
- Passport with a minimum validity of 6 months;

Stay Permit Extension

Stay permit is only valid for one year, so students are required to extend it a few months before it expires if they intend to remain in the country.

  • Scanned Copy of Passport
  • Scanned Copy of a Financial Guarantee Letter.
  • Information regarding the study program and personal data
  • Scanned copy of Diploma or Academic Transcript
  • Surat Keterangan Polisi/Surat Tanda Melapor (police report or certificate of registration issued by the local police to confirm that the student has reported their presence in the area)
  • Surat Keterangan Domisili (domicile certificate confirming the student’s current place of residence, issued by the local neighborhood authority; RT/RW or kelurahan)
  • Surat Keterangan Tempat Tinggal (residence letter confirming where the student is staying by Kabupaten/Kota)
