[unpad.ac.id, 6/8/2020] Two lecturers from the Universitas Padjadjaran Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Fittrie Meyllianawaty Pratiwy, Ph.D. and Ibnu Faizal, M.T, received appreciation as best presenters at the 1st International Conference on Fisheries and Marine, held by the Fisheries and Marine Faculty, Khairun University, on July 13-15 2020.
The international seminar was attended by 85 participants from several countries including the United States, Portugal, Brunei Darussalam, and Malaysia. The seminar was divided into five scientific rooms: oceanography, aquaculture, capture fisheries, biotechnology, and coastal management.
Fittrie presented her research in aquaculture, titled “Circadian Rhythms of Feeding Activity in Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus),” which discusses the rhythm of fish feeding behavior during the day and at night.
Meanwhile, Ibnu presented his research in oceanography, titled “Vulnerability of Java Sea Marine Protected Areas Affected by Marine Debris,” which discusses threats faced by Conservation Areas as areas for protection of ecosystems from pollution, namely marine debris.
