[unpad.ac.id, 02/11/2020] The Times Higher Education ranking institution has released the world university rankings measured by fields of knowledge or THE WUR by Subject 2021, Wednesday (28/10) London time. There are five Unpad fields of knowledge that got into the ranking.
The five fields of knowledge are Business and Economics (ranked 601+), Clinical, Pre-clinical, and Health (ranked 601+), Engineering and Technology (ranked 801-1000), Life Sciences (ranked 801+), and Social Sciences. (rated 601+).
The ranking of these fields of science in THE WUR by Subject 2021 is based on an assessment of five indicators, including citation, teaching, research, international outlook, and industry income. Of the five indicators, Unpad has an advantage in particular, which is the teaching indicator.
Unpad teaching indicators in several fields of knowledge have made great achievements. In the field of Business and Economics, Unpad is ranked second nationally for the teaching category.
In this category, Unpad achieved a score of 21.5, followed by Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) in third place with a score of 20.8, and Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in fourth place with a score of 19.8.
The fields of Clinical, Pre-clinical, and Health also have a good teaching rating with a score of 19.7. This score places Unpad third nationally after the University of Indonesia (UI) in first place with a score of 30.7 and UGM in second place with a score of 21.8.
In the field of Social Sciences, Unpad’s rank for the teaching category is in second place nationally with a score of 16.9. UI won first place with a score of 24.7, while UGM won third place with a score of 16.3.
This superior score reflects that Unpad can compete globally with other Indonesian universities. A comprehensive support from the academic community and educational staff will further boost Unpad’s performance at the global level.*
