[unpad.ac.id, 10/9/2019] Welcoming its 62nd Dies Natalis, Universitas Padjadjaran held “Unpad Bersyukur” (Unpad Gratitude) event at the Grand Mosque of Unpad and Jati Padjadjaran Stadium, Unpad campus, Jatinangor, Tuesday night (9/10).

The Acting Rector of Unpad, Prof. Dr. Rina Indiastuti, M.SIE., said that this event is one of the expressions of gratitude for various achievements obtained by Universitas Padjadjaran in the past 62 years. Although there has been a lot of progress, there are still many challenges that must be faced by Unpad in the future.
“Because there are many challenges, of course we want to self-reflect, what might not have been done so we can do better,” said Prof. Rina.
The event “Unpad Bersyukur” specially presents Islamic intellectual figure Emha Ainun Najib, often called “Cak Nun”. Together with the Kiai Kanjeng group, Cak Nun delivered insights about the meaning of gratitude in front of the leaders, academics, education staff, and the general public.
According to Cak Nun, we (human beings) are psychologically required to always feel grateful for the many experiences and moments we have experienced. “We will never feel enough of ourselves without gratitude,” said Cak Nun.
He also appreciated the event “Unpad Bersyukur”. According to him, the event had a rububiyah situation or loving situation.
“I found the atmosphere tonight full of dedication based on compassion and noble ideals going forward, from this age of 62 years to hundreds of years in the future, Unpad will continue to live,” said Cak Nun.
The event also included the reading of Surah Ar Rahman together in unison, and the performance of the Unpad Barzanji Group.*
