Procedures

Interested scholars are invited to complete the Visiting Scholars Application Form and return or send it to the International Office (IO). The following must be submitted together in English to the International Office, Universitas Padjadjaran, Jl. Raya Bandung-Sumedang Km. 21, Jatinangor, Jawa Barat 45363, INDONESIA

  • Application form
  • CV
  • Summary of the proposed research
  • Letter of Recommendation from the home institution
  • Copy of Passport
  • Application letter (from the applicant)
  • Relevant correspondence with related Universitas Padjadjaran faculty/professors (if any)
  • 2 recent color photographs size 4X6

All the paperworks will be sent to the desired faculty and will be addressed to the Dean’s faculty, then the faculty will assign a member of staff from the faculty member as his/her scientific counterpart who has interests in the area specified to see whether he/she can host the scholar during the period specified.

Applicants are encouraged to contact potential members of staff before making the application to seek their support. For mutual benefit, we want to ensure that the proposed research area concurs with our current interest and research expertise within the faculty

If the person/department welcomes the application, the Dean/Vice Dean and appointed scientific counterpart from the faculty must sign the official approval sheet and issue the sponsorship letter addressed to:

Then, the faculty send the official approval sheet and sponsorship letter to the International Office to be processed further.

The accepted application then goes for an official approval sheet and acknowledgment by the relevant authority.

The request for acceptance and recommendation letter of Visiting Scholars will be approved by the Vice-Rector of Academic and Students Affairs and sent by the International Office to the scholars by email/mail (cc. to the Dean’s faculty).

The application may take around 10 working days to process

Next, the visiting scholars should make contact with the Secretariat of foreign research permit, Ministry of Research and Technology (frp@ristek.go.id), complete the documents as they required (letters from Universitas Padjadjaran, personal documents, etc), and follow the next steps to get the research permit.

The visiting scholar must not enter Indonesia until their Indonesian visa and research permit is approved.
