[unpad.ac.id, 28/01/2021] The Fishery Master’s Study Program of the Faculty of Fishery and Marine Science, Universitas Padjadjaran (FPIK Unpad), together with the Borneo Marine Research Institute, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), held an online “International Aquaculture Talk Series I” on Wednesday (27/01). The event was attended by 89 participants from various institutes in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.
Present at the joint talk as a speaker was Dr. Mohammad Tamrin bin Mohamad Lal, a lecturer and researcher from the Borneo Marine Research Institute, Universiti Malaysia Sabah. He presented Biocontrol Approaches in Aquaculture.
Also present as a speaker was FPIK Unpad lecturer Roffi Grandiosa, Ph.D., who discussed the Status of Fish Disease and Health Management Practices in Rural Freshwater Aquaculture in West Java Indonesia.
Head of the Fishery Master’s Study Program, FPIK Unpad, Dr. Iskandar hopes that this event can be held regularly every month considering that scientific activities in the form of webinars will support the Main Performance Indicators (Indikator Kinerja Utama) of Unpad, especially at the Unpad Faculty of Fishery and Marine Science.
The joint talk was initiated by Fittrie Meyllianawaty Pratiwy, Ph.D. from Unpad and Dr. Faihannah Ching Fui Fui from UMS as a form of the first collaboration between FPIK Unpad and the Borneo Marine Research Institute Universiti Malaysia Sabah.
