[unpad.ac.id, 19/09/2020] The Student Executive Board (BEM) Kema of Universitas Padjadjaran held the annual event of Putra and Putri Padjadjaran 2020. A total of 31 finalists from various faculties in Unpad competed for the title of Putra and Putri Padjadjaran or what is often called as Unpad campus ambassadors.
This year, the Putra and Putri Padjadjaran 2020 election event was held in several stages. The finalists went through a quarantine or provisioning for approximately four months. This quarantine was executed through a combination of offline meetings held before the COVID-19 pandemic as well as online meetings.
In a release received by the Unpad Public Communication Office, it was explained that during the quarantine, the finalists received various materials related to the role of Putra and Putri Padjadjaran as campus ambassadors. The materials included insights about Unpad by the Secretary of the Directorate of Student Affairs and Alumni Relations, Sudarma, M.M., and materials about Sundanese culture by a Lecturer of Unpad Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Taufik Ampera, M.Hum.
The next material was a briefing on mental health issues by the Unpad Faculty of Psychology lecturer, Airin Triwahyuni, briefing on various student issues from BEM Kema Unpad, to debriefing on catwalks and grooming.
The quarantine process carried the slogan “Bloom gracefully inside and outside”. This slogan focused on insights related to mental health issues, which are currently one of the important issues in the student environment.
After undergoing the quarantine period, 11 pairs of finalists were selected to advance to the Speech Top 11 round, the Q&A Top 5 round, then the Q&A Top 3 round.
Each round examined the finalists’ insights regarding issues around student affairs, which were mental health issues, sexual violence issues, cultural preservation, youth issues, and world class universities.
The selected finalists then took part in the Putra and Putri Padjadjaran Grand Final which was held on Saturday (12/9). This closing round determined the winners of Putra and Putri Padjadjaran, 1st Runner Up, 2nd Runner Up, and other titles.
The final round was presented by 4 judges, including the Head of the Unpad Knowledge Management Center who is also the Unpad Faculty of Communication Sciences lecturer, Wina Erwina, Ph.D., the Unpad Faculty of Social and Political Sciences lecturer, Antik Bintari, M.T., and Cecep Safaatul Barkah, MBA, as well as Unpad alumnus, Lutfi Burhani.
The Putra and Putri Padjadjaran 2020 Grand Final was also broadcasted via live streaming on the BEM Kema Unpad Youtube channel,on Saturday (19/9) at 20:00 WIB.
The winners of Putra and Putri Padjadjaran 2020 are as follows:
- Farhan Dwi Gandini Satriana – Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (1st Place Winner of Putra Padjadjaran);
- Nabilla Aprila Siswara – Faculty of Cultural Sciences (1st Place Winner of Putri Padjadjaran);
- Rizky Ramadhan – Faculty of Communication Sciences (1st Runner Up of Putra Padjadjaran);
- Nabila Ramadina – Faculty of Medicine (1st Runner Up of Putri Padjadjaran);
- Faisal Maulana Ibrahim – Faculty of Pharmacy (2nd Runner Up of Putra Padjadjaran);
- Sania Septiani Fitria – Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (2nd Runner Up of Putri Padjadjaran).
