Unpad Distributes 1,957 Staple Goods Packages Ahead of Ramadan

[unpad.ac.id, 24/4/2020] Universitas Padjadjaran distributed staple goods packages to members of the Unpad personnel who would normally support the running of campus activities. The assistance, which was given from Tuesday (21/4) to Thursday (23/4) was aimed at people affected by the campus closure policy due to the Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).

Unpad Rector Prof. Dr. Rina Indiastuti said that 1,957 food packages from the “Unpad 1957 Berbagi” program were given to Unpad personnel at Jatinangor campus, Dipati Ukur, Arjasari, and PSDKU Pangandaran. The number of packages given out, 1957, refers to the year Unpad was established.

Donations were collected from the leadership and administration of 17 faculties in Unpad. The food packages are given to people who have been active on campus, such as Health, Safety and Environment personnel, cleaners, security guards, campus transportation drivers, motorcycle taxi drivers, and canteen management.

Uniquely, the process of distributing the packages still adhered to social restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic, namely by wearing cloth masks and maintaining physical distancing while queuing.
