[unpad.ac.id, 23/4/2020] Universitas Padjadjaran is ranked 101-200 in the world or 4th nationally by the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2020. Last year, Unpad was ranked 301+ in the world or 6th nationally. The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings are the only global performance tables that assess universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), using calibrated indicators to provide comprehensive and balanced comparisons across three broad areas: research, outreach and stewardship.
This year’s assessment reinforces that the various efforts carried out by Unpad academics through research, community service, education, and collaboration had a strong contribution to the implementation of the SDGs because Unpad has strong disciplines in the fields of agricultural sciences, public health, social sciences and humanities, and global cooperation. THE Impact Ranking 2020 assessed Unpad’s contribution to 17 SDGs indicators, and the four indicators with the best score achieved by Unpad are No Poverty (score: 66.1), Zero Hunger (score: 74.3), Good Health and Well-being (score: 64), and Partnership for the goals (score: 88.4). Overall, the average value achieved by Unpad was 75.4 – 83.3, up significantly compared to the previous year’s average of 23.8 – 53.6.
