[unpad.ac.id, 5/20/2019] Commemorating National Resurgence Day every May 20, Universitas Padjadjaran held the 111th National Resurgence Day Ceremony which was held in the campus yard of Iwa Koesoemasoemantri Unpad, Jalan Dipati Ukur No. 35, Bandung, Monday (5/20).

At the ceremony, remarks are read from the Minister of Communication and Information RI Rudiantara by Unpad Deputy Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Arry Bainus, M.A., as the Ceremony of Ceremony. In his remarks, the Minister of Communication and Information invited all Indonesian people to maintain unity.
More than a century Indonesia has carved a record of respect and appreciation for national pluralism. Until this moment, Indonesia is still able to maintain unity amid plurality of languages, ethnicities, religions, and cultures.
“Therefore, there is no doubt that we will certainly be able to reunite immediately from the gap of dissent, from social divisions, by thinking of the wider interests of our nation’s children and grandchildren, namely Indonesian unity,” said Dr. Arry.
Dr. Arry read, the attitude that reflected Indonesia’s unity was mutual cooperation. This spirit has taken root and spread throughout the archipelago. This is evidenced by various expressions about wisdom prioritizing unity in all tribes, customs and cultures in Indonesia.

“Actually the spirit of mutual cooperation is not an old spirit. Up until this point, this spirit will always be relevant, even more urgent as a demand for an era that is full of various changes,” he said. *
