Unpad Wins Two Champions of 2019 Kemenristekdikti Video Competition

[unpad.ac.id, 2/5/2019] Universitas Padjadjaran won two championships at the College Video Competition organized by the Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education for the National Education Day 2019.

The Head of the Office of Public Communication (KKP) of Universitas Padjadjaran, Syauqy Lukman, M.SM., showed the charter of the third winner of the Kemenristekdikti College Public Relations Video Competition. KKP Unpad won third place in the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education Public Relations Video Competition. In addition, Unpad also won 1st place in the Student Video Competition with the theme “Disaster Awareness” of the Ministry of Research and Technology. The two champions included the third winner of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education Public Relations Video Competition won by the team from the Unpad Public Communication Office and the first winner of the Student Video Contest with “Disaster Awareness” theme from Kemenristekdikti which was won by students of the Television and Film Study Program Faculty of Communication Sciences Unpad, Mochamad Ryo Arbani.

The award was given to coincide with the commemoration of the National Education Day at the University of Indonesia’s Rotunda Field Depok, Thursday (2/5). For the Public Relations Competition award, the handover was conducted by the Menristekdikti (Indonesia’s Research and Higher Education Minister), Prof. Mohamad Nasir and accompanied by the Director General of Learning and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ismunandar, as told by the Head of Unpad Public Communication Office, Syauqy Lukman, M.S.M.

“Thank God, the work of the Unpad Public Communication Office team was appreciated by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. The making of this video has actually become a routine activity in the Office of Public Communication. This achievement is a matter of pride for us and directly shows that our performance has been recognized at the national level. Hopefully this will be a motivational trigger,” Syauqy said.

In the category of Public Relations video competition with the theme “Creating Competitive, Innovative, and Characteristic Human Resources”, the Unpad KKP team sent a video entitled “Impact Entrepreneur, Unpad Efforts to Build a Superior Human Foundation”.

The video produced by Purnomo Sidik, Marlia, Krisna Eka Pratama and Denden Firman Arief described Unpad’s role through the “Impact Entrepreneur” program. The program was initiated by Unpad Faculty of Agriculture Industrial Technology (FTIP) Lecturer, Dr. Dwi Purnomo, M.T., and presenting students and alumni of the program participants, namely Dea Annisa (FTIP) and Muhammad Rijaldi (FTIP).

The Impact Entrepreneur Program is a program carried out in 16 stages in equipping students with superior skills, knowledge, networks and capabilities to build something based on research and technology, and build their business with the social business model.

These stages are categorized into 4 major groups that begin with the pre-downstreaming stages of research, business design, business validation, technology consolidation and the last is the development of scale and impact on society.

While for the Student Video Competition, Mochamad Ryo Arbani, the video submitted is titled “Torching the Landslide”. *
