[unpad.ac.id, 3/25/2019] The Universitas Padjadjaran Postgraduate School Sustainable Tourism Magister Program and the Faculty of Communication Sciences Public Relations study program held several activities to commemorate World Water Day, which falls on March 22. These activities also serve as a manifestation of Unpad’s contribution in order to achieve the SDGs, particularly the 6th goal which is to ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
“This celebration is a manifestation of our concern as Unpad academics towards the right to clean water for all without exception, so that absolutely no one is left behind. Currently, only a few people pay attention to the commemoration of World Water Day. Therefore, I hope that this activity can continue to be carried out and become a routine agenda every year,” said Erskiditha Putri Hanura, Project Officer of World Water Day 2019 and Unpad Public Relations student.
The 2019 World Water Day series began with the online Water Photo Contest which was held through Instagram from 7 to 20 March 2019. Acting as a jury, Ronal Agusta, a photographer for the BGTL magazine of the Geological Agency Center for Groundwater and Environmental Geology. Ronal, who is also an alumnus of the Unpad Faculty of Communication Sciences, currently serves as a staff member of social communication at the Universitas Padjadjaran Geoparks and Geohazards Research Center.

The symbolic submission of the book was carried out to the Head of Sustainable Tourism Magister Program Postgraduate School, Dr. Evi Novianti, S.Sos., M.Sc.

“A photo can have 2 or 3 effects at once. It can have effects on the head and heart, heart and hand, or everything (head, heart, and hand). If this is successful, it will be a manifestation of our participation in effective efforts to foster participation in caring for water,” said Ronal Agusta.*
