Meirizka was chosen as one of five Indonesian young delegates at “The 3rd ASEAN University Student Council Union (AUSCU) Conference” in Bangkok, Thailand, on September 4th-6th.
At the conference which was themed “ASEAN Youth for Transformative Impact: Sustained Change through Volunteering”, AUSCU invited 50 student representatives from ASEAN member countries to discuss global issues related to the concern of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In a release received by the Public Communication Office Unpad Sarah explained, each young representative had the mandate to explain the situation and condition of the SDGs volunteering activities in each country.
This discussion led to the drafting of recommendations on youth efforts to contribute to the achievement of SDGs through volunteer activities.
“The draft that was created will be made a recommendation to the ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Youth (SOMY) as one of the basic considerations of ASEAN in developing youth programs in order to support the development of the Sustainable Development Goals,” said Sarah.*
