[unpad.ac.id, 13/9/2019] As many as 41 students will be representing Universitas Padjadjaran in the National Student Sports Week (Pomnas) in Jakarta from the 19th to 26th of September 2019. The contingent was sent off by the Director of Academic and Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Wawan Hermawan, M.S., in the Rector Meeting Room, Unpad Rectorate Building Jatinangor campus, Friday (13/9).
“I hope that you will bring the most beautiful present to Unpad,” hoped Prof. Wawan to all the students.
The students will be competing in several sports branches, such as fencing, badminton, chess, football, indoor hockey, karate, kempo, pencak silat, swim, tarung derajat, and tennis.
Prof. Wawan hoped that Unpad can do better than the previous Pomnas. The athletes are expected to do their best in representing Unpad.
Prof. Wawan also advised to all the chosen students to always uphold the good name of the University wherever they are. Communication and coordination are also expected to be maintained.
Furthermore, he emphasized to all participants to always maintain their health and safety. Prof. Wawan also reminded them about their main obligations as students, where academic activities should not be forgotten, including the administrative process regarding the licensing.
Prof. Wawan also hopes the spirit of competing and achieving can be inherited by their juniors through Student Activity Units (SAU) in Universitas Padjadjaran.
“I hope your contribution to carry on kindness to your juniors, that is through the existing SAU,” hoped Prof. Wawan.*
