[unpad.ac.id, 06/05/2019] Functional staff from Universitas Padjadjaran Archives provided dynamic archive management training to the village apparatus of Jatimukti village, Jatinangor district. The training was held at Aula Balai Desa Jatimukti (Jatimukti Village Hall), Jatinangor, on Friday (3/5).
Wawat Setiawati, one of Unpad’s functional archivists who attended the training, provided material regarding active and inactive dynamic archive management which included: a new archival system pattern for recording incoming and outgoing letters using a control card, procedures for filling in the control card, applying control cards, storage of control cards, use of disposition sheets, distribution of letters, storage and filing of letters, as well as simple structuring of inactive records after the retention period runs out.
After the material was delivered, the training continued with a discussion about the issues of file management.
“We are very grateful to the Universitas Padjadjaran Archives for providing information on archives. Hopefully with this training, our village officials can improve their insights on archives so that we can manage our archives well,” said the Roni, the Village Head of Jatimukti, in a release received by the Unpad Public Communication Office.
