[unpad.ac.id, 05/31/2019] Universitas Padjadjaran established cooperation with PT. PLN Gas & Geothermal (PLN GG) in the field of cooperation in education, research, improvement of human resources, and community service.
The cooperation was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding by the Vice Chancellor for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Unpad Academic Corporations, Dr. Keri Lestari, M.Sc., Apt., with the President Director of PT. PLN GG, Moh. Riza Affiandi in Unpad Executive Lounge room, Dipati Ukur 35 Bandung, Friday (31/5).
Regarding this cooperation, Riza explained, his party cooperated with Unpad in supporting the implementation of a number of strategic projects carried out by subsidiaries of PT. The PLN. More than 50 strategic projects related to gas and geothermal are being carried out by PT. PLN GG.
“In carrying out these projects, we have problems related to the environment, environmental impact analysis, environmental feasibility, and other issues in terms of regulation, and social aspects,” said Riza.
Therefore, he plans to collaborate with a number of universities in Indonesia. As for Unpad, his team plans to build a study on environmental impact analysis.
“So far Unpad has been leading in environmental impact studies. Various projects of PLN environmental impact studies are held by Unpad,” said Riza.
Meanwhile, Dr. Keri welcomes the cooperation that will be carried out with PT. PLN GG. It is hoped that this collaboration will not focus only on just one scientific discipline. Hence, it is encouraged for this collaboration to be carried by the Graduate School.
In addition to cooperation with the AMDAL study, Dr. Keri also hopes that this cooperation can be extended into other sectors, such as the offer to continue their studies. It will open the opportunity for leaders and employees of PT. PLN GG to continue their studies at Unpad.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding was attended by the Dean of the Graduate School, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hendarmawan, M.Sc., a number of leaders of the Graduate School, as well as a number of lecturers in Unpad. *
