Aulia Iskandarsyah, PhD, Achieved the Sarlito Wirawan Sarwono Awards 2019

[] Universitas Padjadjaran Faculty of Psychology lecturer, Aulia Iskandarsyah, M.Psi., M.Sc., PhD, achieved the Sarlito Wirawan Sarwono Awards 2019 given by the National Scientific Psychology Consortium (KPIN).

Sarlito Wirawan Sarwono (SWS) Awards is an award given to scientist under-40 years old who contributes significant influence to psychological sciences in Indonesia. The award’s name was taken from the famous Indonesian psychologist, Alm. Sarlito Wirawan Sarwono.

The lecturer who is also the Unpad Director of Governance and Public Communication is chosen to accept the award based on the judges’ assessment. The award’s criteria highlights academic portfolios, including scientific publications, organization participation, dissemination outside psychology, as well as organization activities.

“In the scientific publication sector, what’s assessed are H-index in Scopus, the number of publications, and number of citation in international journals,” spoke Aulia.

From 43 candidates, five finalists are chosen as the candidates for the award. In the winner announcement event held in Universitas Sumatera Utara Faculty of Psychology, Medan, Thursday (28/3), Aulia with one other finalist, Dr. Christiany Suwartono was chosen to accept the SWS Awards 2019.

President of KPIN Subhan El Hafidz said, this award could motivate the younger generation psychologists in Indonesia to keep creating innovations in their field. [He hopes that] the dedication done by Alm. Sarlito Wirawan Sarwono can be inherited to the next generation.
